Does Masonry Make Good Men Better?

March 26, 2024

Does Masonry Make Good Men Better?
From nothing, light.
From light, matter.
From matter, cells.
From cell, organism.
From organism, thought.
From thought... well, this is where man usually gets in trouble. What's the quality of his thoughts? What's the nature of his shadow? Who is he as the unseen? He's free to choose between good and bad; and, at the same time, hide his true intentions.

As Buddha once said, "There are three things you cannot hide—the sun, the moon, and the truth." And so it follows that what a man holds inside of him, over time, it will naturally come out and be exposed to light and he will be seen for the first time.

There's a saying among Masons that goes, "Freemasonry makes good men better," but not too many talks about is that it exposes the bad apples and merceneries for who they are. And because the world of Freemasonry is small — everyone knows everyone, a word can travel fast.

If someone joins Freemasonry with his true intentions hidden (ie looking to "expose" Masonry), this intention naturally comes out over time, and from that point, the hidden Mason is 'seen' in his natural state. From this moment, he has 3 choices: (1) Be humble, learn, adjust, and stick to the Craft; (2) quietly slip away and hope nobody will remember what he did; and (3) double down with lies and "expose" Freemasonry (the Leo Taxil way) and knowingly perpetuate the path of deceit.

I'm happy that so far, the Masons I've met are genuine. They may not be perfect, but they're true. There's nothing else on earth like Freemasonry, that bring communities together and helps expel darkness. In essence, Masonry doesn't just aim to make a good man better, it seeks to expose the truth. #thetiethatbinds #Freemasonry
